Choosing Your Size
This wrap is written in five sizes, distributed as XS (S, M, L, XL). Each size is designed to fit bust sizes 30-40 (40-50, 50-60, 60-70, 70+) inches, with 10-20 inches of positive ease per size. Note that this wrap is designed to be very oversized. The finished bust measurements are 50 (60, 70, 80, 90) inches. I recommend choosing the size that best suits your negative/positive ease preferences.
Feel free to create your own size by simply chaining whatever number you’d like for the back panel, modifying the front panels to half that width, and adjusting the sleeve holes and length if desired. Please contact me with any questions!
Back Panel
ch 52 (62, 72, 82, 92)
Row 1: dc in the third ch from the hook, and in ea ch across. 50 (60, 70, 80, 90) sts
Rows 2-25: ch 2 and turn. dc in ea st across. 50 (60, 70, 80, 90) sts
To make the wrap shorter/longer, simply repeat Row 2 less/more times. Note how many rows you worked on the back panel so the front panels will match.
Do not FO, proceed to Front Panel Instructions
Front Panels
Make Two
ch 25 (30, 35, 40, 45)
Row 1: ch 2 and turn. dc in ea st and ch across. 23 (28, 33, 38, 43) sts
Rows 2-25: ch 2 and turn. dc in ea st across. 23 (28, 33, 38, 43) sts
If you decreased/increased the length of the front, be sure to do the same for the front panels.
FO, and proceed to Seaming Instructions
Seaming
Feel free to substitute your preferred seaming method for this technique.
Align the front panels over the back panel, with the right sides together. You will have a few stitches in-between the front panels. This is intentional, and will allow for a more comfortable fit around the neck.
Whip stitch the shoulders together.
Whip stitch up each side of the wrap, leaving 7 (8, 9, 10, 11) inches before the shoulder seam for the armhole. Feel free to adjust the depth of the armhole if desired.
Seaming is complete; weave in any ends.
Proceed to Collar Instructions
Collar
The collar addition is completely optional, but provides a clean finish.
Join the yarn to any st along the neck.
Round 1: sc evenly around the enter hem, neck, and front of the wrap. slst to the first st.
FO, weave in any ends, and proceed to Sleeve Instructions
Sleeves
Join the yarn to any dc st along either armhole.
Round 1: ch 1, and sc evenly around the entire opening. slst to the first stitch and f/o.
Repeat these instructions for Sleeve 2, then proceed to Finishing Instructions
Finishing
Weave in any ends you may have remaining. If you decide to block your wrap, I recommend pinning it out on blocking mats gently, spritz with water, and either steam block or let air dry. The sample pictured is not blocked.
