Sunset Can Cozy | Free Crochet Pattern

This cozy is so quick to work up and features a beautiful little color palette…that can be entirely customized. Have fun and add the cutest accessory to your favorite drink!


Materials

  • 25 grams total of any dk weight yarn. Sample uses Originally Lovely Pima.

  • 4.0mm crochet hook

  • Scissors and a yarn needle

Gauge

9 sts and 9 rounds = 2 inches in pattern


Abbreviations

ch: chain

slst: slip stitch

hdc: half double crochet

sc: single crochet

*...*: repeat the instructions in the asterisks

st(s): stitch(es)

C1/2/2: color 1, 2, 3


Pattern Notes

  • Find the yarn featured in this pattern here.

  • When finished, this throw measures 35” inches square.

  • If you’d like to modify the size of your dishcloth, chain any multiple of six, plus four. (ex: 13)

Round 1 (C1)

ch 1, *sc in the next st, sc 2 in the next st* around. slst to first st. (18 sts

Round 2 (C1)

sc 2 in ea st. slst to first st. (12 sts)

Round 3 (C1)

ch 1, *sc in the next st, sc 2 in the next st* around. slst to first st. (18 sts)

Round 4 (C1)

ch 1, *sc in the next 2 sts, sc 2 in the next st* around. slst to first st. (24 sts)

Round 5 (C1)

ch 1, *sc in the next 3 sts, sc 2 in the next st* around. slst to first st. (30 sts)

Round 6 (C1)

ch 1, *sc in the next 4 sts, sc 2 in the next st* around. slst to first st. (36 sts)

Rounds 7-9 (C1)

ch 1, sc in ea st around. slst to the first st.

Rounds 10 and 12 (C2)

ch 1, *sc in the next 2 sts, hdc in the next 4 sts around* slst to the first st.

Round 11 (C3)

ch 1, *hdc in the next 2 sts, sc in the next 4 sts* around. slst to the first st.


Repeat Rounds 7-12 two more times.


Round 25 (C1)

ch 1, sc in ea st around. slst to the first st.

Round 26 (C1)

slst loosely in ea st around.


Finishing

Pull through the last st, cut yarn, and weave in any ends.
