Windowpane Dishcloth


This dishcloth works up so quick and is the best companion for washing those endless dishes!



Materials

  • 30 grams/60 yards of WeCrochet Dishie

  • 4.5mm crochet hook

  • Scissors and a yarn needle

Gauge

4 stitches and 4 rows = 1 inch in single crochet worked flat

Abbreviations

ch: chain

dc: double crochet

sk: skip

sp: space

*...*: repeat the instructions in the asterisks

st(s): stitch(es)

  • When finished, this dishcloth measures 6.5” inches square.

  • If you’d like to modify the size of your dishcloth, chain any multiple of 4, plus 1. (ex:21)

Dishcloth

ch 29

Row 1

hdc in the second ch from the hook, *sk 2 chs, ch 2, hdc in ea of the next 2 chs* until three chs rem, sk 2, ch 2, hdc in the last ch.

Row 2

ch 1 and turn. hdc in the first st, *hdc 2 in the ch 2 sp, sk 2 sts, ch 2* across, hdc 2 in the last ch 2 sp, hdc in the last st.

Row 3

ch 1 and turn. hdc in the first st, *sk 2 sts, ch 2, hdc 2 in the ch 2 sp* across, ch 2, sk 2, hdc in the last st.


Repeat Rows 2 and 3 until you’ve worked 14 rows or until the dishcloth is your desired length.

Border

ch 1 and turn. sc around the perimeter of the dishcloth evenly, placing 3 sts in ea corner. slip stitch to the first st to join.


Finishing

Cut yarn, pull through the last st, and weave in any ends.
