This squishy pillow is the perfect addition to any bedroom or living area! It is SO soft with the velvet yarn, but it would also be gorgeous in another yarn. Have fun with this simple tunisian stitch and beginner-friendly design!
Materials
2 skeins of Bernat Baby Velvet yarn, or approximately 250 yards of another comparable worsted weight yarn. Sample uses Baby Velvet in the colorway Fairy Lavender
6.5mm tunisian crochet hook
Scissors and a yarn needle
Gauge
I recommend checking your gauge to ensure the pillow will be the intended size.
5 stitches and 4 rows = 2 inches in tunisian simple stitch
Abbreviations
ch: chain
ea: each
yo: yarn over
sc: single crochet
fp: forward pass
rp: return pass
f/o: finish off
st(s): stitch(es)
slst: slip stitch

Pattern Notes
This pillow is created by crocheting two identical panels then attaching them together using the standard single crochet stitch.
When finished, this pillow measures 14” square. Keep in mind that it is designed to fit around a 14” pillow form, but it will be a snug fit. If you’d like a less-snug fit, simply chain more foundation stitches and work until each piece is a square.

fp: *insert hook into the ch, yo, pull up a loop* in ea st across
rp: yo, pull through one, *yo pull through two loops* across
Rows 2-27 (or until square)
fp: *insert hook through vertical bar, yo, pull up a loop* across
rp: yo, pull through one, *yo, pull through two loops* across
Proceed to Joining Instructions
Joining
Hold the two panels together with the right sides (vertical bars) facing out. Sc around the entire piece, and remember to insert the pillow form before fully seaming. Work 3 sts in ea corner. Slst to the first st to join.
Finishing
Pull through the last st, cut yarn, and weave in any ends.
