The newest addition to the Genesis Collection is a quick and easy one! Have fun with this squishy texture while you knit up a few of these dishcloths!
Materials
30 grams or 60 yards of any worsted weight cotton yarn. Sample uses KnitPicks Dishie in Butterscotch
Size 7(4.5 mm) knitting needles
Scissors and a yarn needle
Gauge
It is not necessary to achieve a certain gauge for this dishcloth, but if you would like the same dimensions as the sample I suggest checking.
8 stitches and 12 rows = 2 inches in stockinette stitch worked flat

CO: cast on
k: knit
p: purl
st(s): stitch(es)
*...*: repeat the instructions in the asterisks

This dishcloth is worked in rows. Be sure to turn your work after completing each row.
When finished and worked to pattern, this dishcloth measures 8 inches square. To make the dishcloth smaller/larger, simply cast on less/more stitches in multiples of four, and work until the dishcloth is square. Note that any changes will affect your required yardage.

Finishing
Cut yarn, and weave in any ends.
Dishcloths aren’t typically in need of blocking, but feel free to do so. If you chose a 100% cotton yarn, I recommend simply washing these dishcloths in the washer and dryer just like clothes. They will last for years to come!
