Pattern Notes
Find the yarn featured in this pattern here.
This dishcloth is worked flat, so be sure to turn your work after each row.
When finished, this dishcloth measures 8 inches square.
If you’d like to modify the size of your dishcloth, simply chain any multiple of four, then add five chains.
Pattern
Ch 29
Row 1
dc two in the third ch from the hook, sk 1, sc in the next ch, *sk 1, dc 3 in the next ch, sk 1, sc in the next ch* across. (27 sts)
Rows 2-17
ch 2 and turn. dc two in the first st, sk 1, sc in the next st, *sk 1, dc 3 in the next st, sk 1, sc in the next st* across. (27 sts)
After completing Row 17 (or after your dishcloth is square), continue to Border Instructions
Border
Continuing from the last row, sc evenly around the entire dishcloth. I recommend aiming to place the same amount of sts on ea side.
Finishing
Pull through the last st, cut yarn, and weave in any ends.
Dishcloths aren’t typically in need of blocking, but feel free to do so. If you chose a 100% cotton yarn, I recommend simply washing these dishcloths in the washer and dryer just like clothes. They will last for years to come!
