This crocheted dishcloth is the fourth in my Spring Dishcloth Collection! This dishcloth is worked corner-to-corner style, but features the single crochet stitch. Enjoy!

It is not necessary to achieve a certain gauge for this project, but if you want the same dimensions as the sample I suggest checking.

Abbreviations:
ch: chain
sc: single crochet
sc2tog: single crochet 2 stitches together
sc3tog: single crochet 3 stitches together
ss: slip stitch
ea: each
st(s): stitch(es)
f/o: finish off
Pattern Notes:
Find the yarn used for the sample here.
Follow along with the full video tutorial: https://youtu.be/j2BplqHT8jM
The ch 1 at the beginning of each row does NOT count as a stitch. This is the turning chain, and will allow the edges to remain nice and straight.
When worked to pattern, your dishcloth will measure approximately 8 inches wide by 8 inches tall.
Feel free to adjust the size of your dishcloth by working less/more increase rows. Repeat the decrease row until you’re back down to three sts and finish according to pattern.
Dishcloth:
Ch 2
Row 1: in the second ch from the hook, sc 3 (3 sts)
Row 2: ch 1 and turn. sc 2 in the first st, sc in ea st until one st remains, sc 2 in last st. (5 sts)
Rows 3-20: repeat row 2 (41 sts)
Row 21: ch 1 and turn. Sc2tog, sc in ea st until 2 sts remain, sc2tog (39 sts)
Rows 22-39: repeat row 18 (5 sts, decreasing by two sts ea row)
Row 40: ch 1 and turn, sc3tog. (1 st)
Do not f/o, proceed to Finishing Instructions
Finishing:
After finishing the final row, sc in around the entire dishcloth by placing one sc per row, and 3 sc sts in ea corner. Refer to the video tutorial if needed! Work around the entire dishcloth in this manner, then ss to the first sc.
f/o, and weave in any ends remaining.
Enjoy your new dishcloth!
